About the College

The fact that you’re looking at this web site means you already have an edge.

Because even though you may not know it, NKU is one of only a few universities in the nation that can prepare you to shape the future.

Meet the new College of Informatics — a place where aspiring artists, musicians, doctors, entrepreneurs and scientists come together to learn about technology and how it is taking their fields to the next level.

Fortune magazine says nine of the 20 fastest growing professional jobs in the next decade will be found in the field of informatics. At NKU, you can learn everything from protecting businesses from computer hackers to producing a highly advanced digital newscast.

In the fall of 2006, 1,057 undergraduates took control of their futures by enrolling in the college. Soon, they will be shaping our world, developing new technologies and improving our communities.

Our students also receive plenty of real-world experience through internships and cooperatives, so when you graduate, you will be ready to mold the future.

Who knows what that future will look like? We'll leave that up to you.

Infrastructure Management Institute logoThe College's Infrastructure Management Institute (IMI) provides its students extensive access to internships/cooperatives. Via IMI, the university directly contributes to the development of the Commonwealth and tri-state area.
