Advising Center Welcome Message
Welcome to the College of Informatics Advising Center. Our primary offices are located in the Applied Science & Technology Building in 363 (we are located between the Bank of Kentucky Center and the Business Education Psychology, or BEP, buildings).
Communication majors: Please note that all Freshman students (including transfer students with no more than 24 hours completed coursework) will work with our Freshman Specialist in Landrum room 133.
It is our mission to advise, teach, assist and empower you. Our advisors accomplish this by assisting (not directing) you in selecting courses for your desired major, ultimately enabling you to successfully complete your degree. More importantly, our advisors are trained to listen to your concerns in an open and caring way.
There's a lot of information available on our web site, but keep in mind that as careers change, so do their degree requirements. Therefore, while many of your questions may be answered after viewing the contents of our site, We strongly recommend that you always consult an advisor with your specific questions.
