Kevin Gallagher, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Kevin Gallagher is an Assistant Professor in the Business Informatics Department at Northern Kentucky University. He holds Ph.D. and MS degrees in Management Information Systems from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He was formally a MIS faculty member in the College of Business at Florida State University. His teaching, research and consulting interests include strategic change, business agility, IT governance, knowledge management and IT workforce development, all within the context of information systems management.
Before entering a career in academia, he worked as an IT Manager for Progressive Insurance and a Systems Consultant for CAP Gemini. Kevin is constantly exploring opportunities to collaborate with the business community, bringing real-world cases to the classroom and timely, relevant research to industry. His work has appeared in MIS Quarterly Executive, Communications of AIS and Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, and received Best Paper Awards at international conferences, including the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management and the Americas Conference on Information Systems.
