Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics

American businesses depend heavily on information and manipulating that information to be competitive — that means a strong and continuing need for information systems specialists and especially knowledge workers to fill positions such as:
  • business process analyst
  • project manager
  • information systems designer
  • database & data security specialists
A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Informatics (B.I.S.) from NKU will give you the technical, analytical, business, and systems know-how to integrate computer technology into vital business operations and administrative tasks — whether it's for a private or non-profit organization, a government agency, or an educational institution.

Our BIS program is accredited by the AACSB, placing it with the top 15% of business programs in the world today. The program offers a variety of electives allowing you to choose information systems based classes that interest you. For example, you can build a concentration in e-commerce, web design, or systems analysis.

Whatever your career focus, you can gain valuable on-the-job experience in an internship or cooperative arranged through the Career Development Center. NKU students are gaining professional experience with area businesses:
  • Duke Energy
  • Fidelity Investments
  • Hewlett-Packard
  • Kroger
  • Procter & Gamble
