Steve Boyd, Ph.D.
Professor, Communication Studies
Dr. Boyd teaches, Advanced Public Speaking, Effective Listening Skills and Training and Development. He has been on the faculty of Northern Kentucky University in Communication Studies since 1972 after receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. In 1984, he was the recipient of the university-wide Outstanding Professor of the Year award.
Dr. Boyd and his son, Dr. Josh Boyd of Purdue University, together wrote a book on public speaking. Steve also writes regularly for professional and trade publications. He is one of the region's most respected communication consultants and speaks often to companies and associations.
