Andrea Lambert, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Communication Studies; CMST Program Coordinator
Dr. Lambert is an Assistant Professor in Communication Studies. She received her Ph.D. in family communication from the University of Denver, her M.A. in interpersonal communication from Texas Tech University, and her B.A. in communication and psychology from the University of Kansas. Her areas of expertise include divorce, stepfamilies, co-parenting, and children's perception of divorce. She also has general expertise in communication strategies, interpersonal communication, and intercultural issues.

Professor Lambert is widely involved in the NKU community both on- and off-campus. In addition to serving as a Mediator for the Northern Kentucky Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, she is a member of the Communication Graduate Council, the Communication Research Committee, and serves as the faculty advisor for the undergraduate Communication Club. Dr. Lambert is active force in the communication discipline and serves as the Secretary for the Western Communication Association Interpersonal Communication Interest Group, the New Professional Representative for the International Association of Relationship Research, and is active with journal review boards.

Dr. Lambert's research program examining divorce and blended family communication has yielded 20 competitively selected papers at international, national, and regional conferences (including top paper designations) and has led to publications in journals such as the Journal of Divorce and Remarriage.
