Denis Mueller, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Electronic Media & Broadcasting
Professor Mueller's main area of study is documentary film. He teaches theory, history and the production of documentaries. Denis also teaches a production management course. Along with his main field of studies, Denis has taught courses about the film, the media and production. He has been an active documentary filmmaker for over 25 years. His film, Howard Zinn: You Can't be Neutral on a Moving Train, played theatrically across the country and on the Sundance Channel. It is currently being distributed by First Run Features.
Denis received his Ph.D. in American Cultural Studies from Bowling Green University and his masters in communication from Northern Illinois University. He received his B.A. in history from Northern Illinois University as well.
