NKU offers a novel four-year degree in the rapidly expanding field of computer information technology (CIT), and features practical, hands-on expertise in Unix/Linux and other open-source, administrative computer software.

Engaged by a dynamic, student-focused, and professionally practicing faculty, you will explore the design, maintenance, and use of a variety of computing technologies (computer science, information systems, and computer hardware). You can combine your degree with study in a variety disciplines and fields, for example:

By choosing one of two tracks, Web development or network/system administration and security, you will be prepared to enter the workforce with a broad array of skills applicable to an ever-increasing variety of jobs, including:

  • Hardware installations coordinator
