Students in the College of Informatics are highly regarded in the marketplace, before they even graduate. Why? Because the College of Informatics provides exceptional classroom instruction, as well as unique hands-on opportunities to work on meaningful projects with regional employers, through our Infrastructure Management Institute.

Linus the Movie: Animation meets Web in student-produced project
Meet Linus, a 4-foot-two 160 pound animated wonder. Created from the ground up in the first Media Informatics inter-disciplinary project, Linus: The Movie and it's accompanying web site illustrate the wide range of knowledge and skills acquired by students in the College of Informatics.
Safety Net: Student Builds Early Warning System
Were an emergency to hit the NKU campus, automated email and SMS messages would be sent to students, faculty and staff, thanks to the efforts of Informatics student Thom Barker.
Pathways to Tomorrow: Students produce for the people
Informatics students built a multimedia presentation for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, which was used to illustrate the impact of infrastructure investments to congressional leadership in Washington, D.C.
NKU@Beta: Student-produced new media project
Students from the EMB, JOU and MIN programs produced a 10-part series about the changing landscape at Northern Kentucky University.

In a strong showing, College of Informatics EMB students take first place, and four out of five awards at the 2007 College Weekend Movie Festival.
